PERSONNEL PLANNING

Personnel planning deals with the management of human resources, thereby enabling the agency to implement the business strategies necessary to achieve the strategic plan.Personnel planning is critical as it is the single largest area of expense in most agencies.

1. The stage of an agency's growth will greatly influence:
 

  1. The number of people to be hired,
  2. The utilization of personnel,
  3. How they are compensated, and
  4. How they are developed.

• Personnel planning must be tied into the overall business plan of the agency.
